Funding

A writing program should be easily affordable. All MFA@FLA students receive a full tuition waiver and a fellowship and teaching-assistantship package that in 2025 will pay $26,000 per year for each of the three years of the program. Students pay fees of about $750 per semester. The teaching assistantship is outlined on our website. Florida has no state income tax, and the cost of living in Gainesville is modest.
